Ursa Major is a constellation commonly called the big dipper in North America. Not only is it easy to spot in the night sky but can also lead you to Polaris (the north star). Locate the big dipper in the sky look at the two stars at the end of the dipper. Drawl a straight line through these stars and it will lead you to Polaris. To be sure you locate the correct star Polaris is the tail of the little dipper (Ursa Minor). To watch a video on this check out this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hepzUgFhgis
